Wicks Steel is a Queensland-based steel frame fabricator serving residential and commercial builders across South East Queensland. Operating from our Logan Village facility, we deliver precision-engineered frames on time, every time.

Our Story

Built by the Wicks family, for Queensland builders.

Wicks Steel grew from a family with deep roots in Queensland's construction industry. Where builders build homes, we build the bones they stand on.

Based at 35 Industrial Avenue, Logan Village, our facility runs FrameMac automated fabrication technology. Every member is cut to exact specification, labelled, and sequenced before it leaves our floor.

We work directly with builders, project managers, and developers. Fixed quote within 48 hours. Frames on site when you need them.

How We Fabricate

From roll-formed steel to site-ready frames.

Every frame that leaves our Logan Village facility goes through the same precise process.

Design Input

Your plans come to us in PDF, DWG, or IFC format. Our team converts them into a full fabrication model using Vertex BD software — the same platform used to design your frames.

Automated Fabrication

Our FrameMac roll-forming machine cuts, punches, and labels every steel member to exact specification. Tolerances are measured in millimetres. Every piece is marked with its position in the frame.

Quality Check

Before anything is bundled, our team cross-checks every member against the fabrication drawings. Panels are assembled, checked, and sequenced in erection order.

Delivery & Install-Ready

Frames are delivered to your site on a schedule that works with your build program. Clearly labelled, sequenced for fast erection. Your trades can follow immediately.

BlueScope Steel

All Wicks Steel frames use genuine BlueScope TRUECORE® steel — the Australian standard for cold-formed steel framing. Non-combustible, termite-proof, and backed by a 50-year structural warranty.

Truecore® Certified

We are an accredited TRUECORE® fabricator. This means our frames meet BlueScope's quality standards and your clients benefit from the full product warranty.

Vertex BD

Our fabrication is designed using Vertex BD — the leading BIM software for steel framing. Every frame is engineered to your plans before a single member is cut.
